What will I learn?

A Network Administrator configures and maintains computer networks for an organization. This may mean planning, installing, maintaining and supporting network hardware, software and communication links. To be successful in this career, students will spend a semester learning about Cisco, network security and programming.

Students have opportunities to use the CyberRange/CyberCity simulated electronic warfare environment, Microsoft Datacenter Academy working lab and/or NERDS skillset development and community outreach center.

Graduates may work locally for Microsoft, Lunavi, State of Wyoming, Laramie County Schools and businesses.

Credit Diploma

The Network Administrator (CCNA) credit diploma is designed to provide students with the necessary skills in Cisco Networking Technology and to prepare students to take the Cisco certification for CCNA. Students must complete the Datacenter Technician Credit Diploma or have a minimum of (3) years industry experience and the CompTIA A+ certification.
